HxRefactored Recap: Less Snow, More Awards

After a couple days of downtime following the Health 2.0 Boston Codeathon, PokitDok set up our little booth at the Health Experience Refactored conference.

Director of front-end and mobile Chris Wilhite took the stage to receive Health 2.0's first ever "Best Consumer-Facing Design award." I've always thought our new site is utterly gorgeous AND eminently usable, and it's great to see that others do too. Here's some shakycam footage of the award ceremony from yours truly.

Our CEO and co-founder, Lisa Maki, was on two panels back-to-back. First up was a discussion entitled, "Seamless Sharing: Physician Databases and Referral Management." She moderated a discussion between Nate Gross of Doximity, Ashish Patel from CareSet, Russell Tevis of The Advisory Board Company, and Julie Yoo from Kyruus. Right afterward, she participated in a panel discussion on Consumer Experience Innovation, along with Alexandra Drane of Eliza Corporation, Elliot Cohen from PillPack, Joan Kennedy of CIGNA, Jeff Makowka from AARP, and Christi Zuber of Kaiser Permanente. Both sessions generated some tweetable moments. My favorite? "Without end-to-end seamless integration, the most beautiful UX is just like lipstick on a pig." That about sums it up!
